A little bit inspired by The Little Prince, and a little bit inspired by Starfox....I think we can all agree foxes MUST be magical creatures. This stained glass suncatcher features a red fox jumping along a shooting star. The glass choices in this piece are some of my favourites - especially the luminescent blue that makes up the stars trail. The star itself is an antique bronze effect metal.
Each piece of glass is individually cut, ground to shape, edged in copper foil and then soldered together. This suncatcher is hung on a delicate silver chain, and solder has been left a shiny silver colour to complement the iridescence of the glass. This is an original design. Measures approx 21x8cm.
This product contains lead solder - do not ingest and wash hands after handling.
Details
This product is crafted using the 'Tiffany' method of stained glass making, where each piece of the design is individually cut by hand from sheets of beautiful art glass, edged in copper foil and then soldered into place. The process is time consuming and skilled, and gives an elegant and detailed result. Designs are original.
